GEFCO Russia Successfully Held First Thematic Client Webinars

15 December 2020

Coronavirus restrictions have not prevented GEFCO Russia from continuing to interact with customers as planned. This year, for the first time, the company hosted several online webinars on new business spheres and shared the latest information on changes in industry legislation. The number of participants in the meetings in the new format exceeded the indicators of the last year by more than 2 times.

On June 25, GEFCO Russia specialists held a seminar on customs clearance. The speakers were the commercial director of GEFCO Russia Denis Gliznutsa, the head of the customs clearance department Alexander Kovalenko and the senior customs specialist Alexey Romanenko. They presented an overview of legislative changes and the latest trends related to electronic TCP and certification, and shared the specifics of customs clearance in selected industries. The seminar was attended by over 100 representatives of GEFCO Russia partners and clients.

On September 24, the company held a practical online seminar on multimodal door-to-door transportation, port forwarding and rail container transportation, which GEFCO Russia carries out with direct control of the passage of cargo through Russia from Asia to Europe and back. Also, during the summer seminar, the specialists paid attention to customs legislation. Together with the listeners, whose number exceeded 80, they analyzed the main innovations concerning the current technical regulations and conditional release procedures, as well as the draft labeling system for all types of products, which may appear in Russia by 2024.

We believe that the joint study of relevant information and discussion of the prospects for market development allows us to achieve a competent redistribution of cargo flows and the shortest delivery times.

Denis Gliznutsa

Commercial Director GEFCO Russia

GEFCO Russia has been practicing joint seminars with clients for several years, due to the fact that in today's dynamic market development, it’s important to strive to keep up with industry changes, and the company is ready to help its customers in this by offering complex, progressive and intelligent logistics solutions. This year, at the request of customers, GEFCO Russia also organized customized training events for specific modes of transport and specific shipping methods. During the sessions, participants could discuss issues of interest to them with experts regarding the operational component and the specifics of transportation for certain market sectors.

“Organization of webinars and remote conferences is another opportunity to strengthen relationships with clients in this challenging year,” said Denis Gliznutsa, Commercial Director of GEFCO Russia. “We believe that the joint study of relevant information and discussion of the prospects for market development allows us to achieve a competent redistribution of cargo flows and the shortest delivery times. The result of such training sessions is the generation of unique solutions for the assigned tasks of clients and the way out of the most unusual situations. It is this personalized approach that forms the main business value — customer confidence, which in turn is a strategic component for maintaining and strengthening the company's position in the market.
