03 June 2021

An exciting new agreement between two of Russia’s logistics leaders

GEFCO Russia and FESCO Transport Group have agreed to develop multimodal freight transportation between Russia, the United States, Europe and Southeast Asia. This agreement was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum by Pavel Ilichev Chairman of the Board of Directors of GEFCO Russia, and Arkady Korosteljov, President of FESCO.

Building on their longstanding experience, the two partners will organize multimodal transportation for general, container, oversized and groupage freight in various directions, including services for large international clients. The focus of these joint activities will be Russia’s Far East region, where the companies will complement each other's competencies in logistics and customs procedures, service digitalization for key customers, and other operational processes.

Pavel Ilichev commented: “This agreement is an excellent example of how our company is constantly expanding its partnerships in a wide variety of industries, including our own. I believe this sharing of expertise between two of the country’s leading logistics specialists will undoubtedly benefit the development of domestic and international transport flows and increase the volume of container transit through Russia."
